Maruti Suzuki hikes car prices
Maruti Suzuki has decided to hike prices of its cars due to rising input costs and cost associated with rolling out BS IV emission norm compliant vehicles.
While the price of Maruti Suzuki A-Star and Ritz has been hiked by Rs. 1,000 and Rs. 3,000 for Omni, price of Swift (dearer by Rs. 3,750), DZire (Rs. 7,000) and SX4 (Rs. 9,000) has witnessed a higher jump. However the highest price increase has been in the case of newly launched Eeco, which is Rs. 10,000 costlier now.
Maruti has also decided to hike prices of its BS III cars; Maruti 800 and Omni LPG by Rs. 3,000 and Gypsy by Rs. 10,000.
