Bridgestone launches Ecopia Tyres
Bridgestone India Pvt.Ltd which has been in the news quite recently for setting up their promotional campaign revolving around their core philosophy of ‘Eco Friendliness” “Safety” and Reliability”. In line with this philosophy Bridgestone has set up the “New Concept Select Super Stores” in three Indian Cities of Bangalore, Noida and Erode. The aim of these stores is to revolutionize the tyre buying experience for the Indian consumers. Distinctively planned, designed & built on the concepts of Safety, Reliability & Eco-Friendliness. The motto being safety of customers and workers; reliability of products; transparency in operations and promote eco-friendly products and environment both in the store and outside.
Keeping in view these Concept Stores and in its endeavor to save and protect the environment, Bridgestone India, introduced new range of specialized eco friendly tyres, ECOPIA EP100A in Bangkok amongst the media fan fare.

ECOPIA combines eco-friendly performance such as higher fuel efficiency and safety. It allows for reduced rolling resistance, which in turn enhances fuel efficiency. ECOPIA also reduces the production of harmful carbon dioxide emissions that contribute to global warming.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Tanigawa expressed, “The new ranges of tyres are in range of our mission to help ensure healthy environment for current and future generations. The USP of this range is, it promises reduced rolling resistance without undermining safety in tire aspects such as wet and braking performance. With the changing emission norms around the world it was necessary to come up with this range to support auto manufacturers and more over we are a social responsible corporation.”
The word ECOPIA is derived from Ecology and Utopia and represent’s Bridgestone’s Eco Activity as a flagship brand. Ecopia comes for each type of vehicle also including solar cars. It may be noted that Rolling Resistance is a key
to reduce CO2 emission during usage of tyres and Bridgestone through its innovative technology have combined silica along with a coupling agent that reduces energy and in turn improves rolling resistance.
