BMW X1 and new X3 coming to India
BMW India is planning to launch new X3 and X1 SUVs in India.
While the new and bigger BMW X3 is expected to be launched in India early next year to take on the Audi Q5 and Mercedes GLK and will move into the mold of the bigger X5 with roomier innards and frills.
BMW’s smallest SAV (sports activity vehicle), X1 would likely be launched in India in early 2011 with a price tag of Rs. 25-35 lakh.
While it remains to be seen which engine the BMW X1 comes with, internationally it is sold with 1.8L diesel and petrol, 2.0L diesel, 2.3L diesel and 2.8L petrol engines. However with such a attractive price tag, it is surely going to be hit in India.
